What do we do? In short, we\u2019re the music techies.\u00a0 We developed our program in a response to a big need: musicians didn\u2019t have effective music scanning software. So we spent time putting advanced OMR (also known as Optical Music Recognition) into our programming. OMR is research that helps us develop computer software that reads music notation.     Step by Step Music Scanning with Scanscore<\/span><\/h2>\n

    Let\u2019s take it step by step.\u00a0 Here\u2019s how to scan music with ScanScore:<\/span><\/p>\n

    #1 Pick Your\u00a0 Product<\/b><\/p>\n

    First, you need to pick which version of ScanScore you\u2019d like and purchase it.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Doing this is easy; just go to<\/span> ScanScore\u2019s webpage<\/span><\/a> and pick out the product you\u2019d like. From there go to your cart and checkout. There are three versions of ScanScore currently available. We\u2019ll discuss these later.<\/span><\/p>\n

    #2 Download ScanScore<\/b><\/p>\n

    In order for ScanScore to run properly, it requires a computer with Windows 7 or higher. Apple systems are also supported!\u00a0 Once you\u2019ve bought ScanScore, you need to download it.     #3 Scan the Sheet Music<\/b><\/p>\n

    When you open up your program, and you\u2019ll see two music scanning choices: Import from scanner, and Import from the app. I\u2019ll walk you through how to choose which scanning method is best for you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    In order to use <\/span>Import from scanner, <\/b>you need an actual scanner. To use it, click on this icon. From there the scanner will read the sheet music and opens it up in ScanScore. Don\u2019t have a scanner? No worries!\u00a0 You also can use your smart device.<\/span><\/p>\n

    The <\/span>import from app<\/b> button requires an iPhone, tablet, or Android. <\/span>\u00a0This button on ScanScore is perfect for the modern musician. The app will send the image directly to your desktop program. <\/span>You probably also noticed the \u201cImport from image\/ PDF file\u2019 button. You can import files from your computer by clicking this button, and loading the file into ScanScore!<\/span><\/p>\n
