How to transfer scores online using the ScanScore Scanner App

ScanScore isn’t just a powerful desktop tool – it also offers a mobile sheet music scanner app for your smartphone. Using a simple QR code, you can transfer scanned scores online directly to your PC for editing. This is ideal for musicians who want to digitize music sheets on the go.

📱 How it works – connect your phone to your PC

Requirements:

  • ScanScore installed on your PC or Mac

  • ScanScore Scanner App (iOS/Android)

Steps:

  1. Open ScanScore on your computer.

  2. Go to “Preferences” → “General”.

  3. Use your phone to scan the QR code shown in the settings.

  4. The app connects to your computer instantly.

  5. Take pictures of your sheet music.

  6. Your scans are sent online and opened directly in ScanScore.

If the QR-code connection doesn’t work, you can always:

  • Upload images to Dropbox / Google Drive / OneDrive

  • Email them to yourself or use a messaging app

Then simply import the images into ScanScore.
