🎵 Transpose Notes in the Organize Menu

The fastest way is via the Organize Menu → Change Key. This works in both Scan Mode and Score Mode.

Music key signature settings window with options highlighted.

  1. Select your target key.

  2. Define the bar range.

  3. Check “Transpose”.

  4. Optionally: tick “Apply to all staves”.

  5. Export as MusicXML or MIDI.

🎧 Transpose Playback Only (in the Mixer)

If you want to change only the playback key, not the notation:

  1. Go to Window → Mixer.

  2. Transpose the sound in semitones – without affecting the note image.

  2. Switch to Selection Mode (mouse icon).

  3. Double-click left of the first bar to select the staff.

  4. Use the arrow keys to move notes.
